ABOUT THE BOOK
Step inside
the story.
Mike ‘Mikey’ Matthews is an accountant in Cedar Park, Texas, with a gift for numbers, a talent for entertaining a room, and a history he has learned to tell very well. Running for city council seems like a chance to put all three to work.
But the people who know him best have their own versions of those stories. As the campaign gathers momentum, Mike has to face the difference between a good performance and the much less glamorous work of being good.
